William “Billy” Ellis Amos, Jr. passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at his residence. He was born September 24, 1932 in Rapidan, Va. and was the son of the late William Ellis Amos and Eva Lorene Faulconer Amos. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Amos and a sister, Joyce Kilcoyne.

Billy was a retired postmaster in Ruckersville, VA and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Orange County Rescue Squad and Orange Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Barbara Southard Amos, daughters, Debrorah “Debbie” Flint and husband Larry and Sandra Arlene Amos all of Stuarts Draft; son, William Michael “Mike” Amos of Crozet; sister, Hollie Williams of Stuart Draft; grandchildren Brandon Amos and Shannon and Ryan Amos and Amber and great-grandchildren, Gunner Amos, Charlize Amos and Brynlee Amos.

A graveside memorial service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in Graham cemetery in Orange, Va.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300 Charlottesville, VA 22901 or a charity of your choice.
