Virginia Tysinger Knighting, 95, of Knolls Road, Orange died on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the Dogwood Village of Orange. She was born on June 27, 1927 in Madison County and was the daughter of the late Lester O. Utz and Mary Weaver Utz. She was also predeceased by her husbands Robert L. Tysinger Sr. and Benny Knighting; all of her brothers and sisters; and a grandchild Mindi Tysinger Yancey.

She was a member of the Robinson River Primitive Baptist Church and retired from the Orange County School System as a teachers aid.

She is survived by a daughter Andrea Tysinger Smith of Orange; two sons Robert L. Tysinger Jr. and wife Sue of South Boston, and Phillip K, Tysinger and wife Cindy of Denton, TX; six grandchildren Lee Tysinger, Shannon Tysinger Blanks, Jason Tysinger, Travis Tysinger, Erik Tysinger, and Anthony Smith; ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange with interment in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Aylor. The family will receive friends on Tuesday one hour before the service from 11:00 to 12:00.
