Van Bland Sadler, Jr., born April 6, 1943, went to be with our Lord on December 5, 2024 surrounded by some of his family. His parents, Van Bland Sadler and Jeannette deLozier Sadler, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Sadler, children, Brian Scott Sadler (Mary) , Jeffrey Bland Sadler (Angela), grandchildren; Olivia Sadler Keatley (Nolan), Benjamin Sadler (Sarah Anne), Jacob Sadler (Allison), Maggie Elizabeth Sadler Graves (Calvin), Henry Sadler (Jack), Weston Sadler, great grandchildren; Rylee, Beckham, Everleigh, Bennett, William and June.
He was a designer for years at various companies in the D.C. area, and then at IBM until 1984. He started a pool business in 1983, first from his home and later building a retail store in Madison that opened in 1986. He always loved an adventure and shared these adventures with his wife.
He spent 7 years suffering from dementia and physical impairments. His last 3 and half years were spent at Countryside Assisted Living in Pratts, VA. This place is filled with love and caring people and angels too. There are not enough words to express my appreciation for the caring environment Bland had at Countryside.
A celebration of life will be at a later date.
