Valerie Grace Miller Smith 74, of Gordonsville, passed away at her residence on Monday, February 12, 2024. She was born on September 19, 1949, in Sydney, NY. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Rose Sager Miller.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Smith, of Gordonsville, a daughter, Jessica Hintz, and husband Scott, of Chesapeake, Va., two sons, Forrest Smith, of Orange, Darren Smith, and wife Brandy, of Lake Monticello, a brother, Kerry Miller, of Verona Va., a sister, Holly Pierce, and husband Bill, of New York, and four grandchildren, Courtney Smith, Emily Smith, Evan Hintz, and Alex Smith.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with Pastor Pam Edelman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family with arrangements.
