Life Reflections
Tameka Patrice Whalen, daughter of the late Nathaniel Lee Whalen, was born on November 26, 1984. She departed this life on 1:32pm October 11, 2021 at the Hospice of the Piedmont Acute Care Center in Charlottesville, Va.
Tameka received her education at the Louisa County High School in Louisa, Virginia, and Johnson & Wells Culinary University in Newport News. Tameka was employed at the University of Virginia Cardiac Device Unit as an Administrative Specialist.
Tameka enjoyed spending time with her niece Aaliyah who is the Apple of her eye, her Godchildren, baking, shopping, traveling, motorcycle riding, reading, eating good food, hanging out with her brothers and her friends, hiking, and watching Hallmark movies.
Tameka was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Lee Whalen, and her grandmother Viola Whalen.
Tameka leaves behind to cherish her memories , her mother: Michelle Whalen & (her husband Trevino Williams), of Richmond, Va, two brothers: Michael Whalen of Gordonsville, Va, Maurice Whalen of Orange, Va, one niece: Aaliyah Whalen, one grandmother: Frances C. Bowler of Gordonsville, Va, A Host of Uncles: Troy Collins, Kelly Bowler(Heather), Greg Whalen(Rosetta), Joseph Whalen(Angela), John Whalen(Gail), & Edward Whalen, A Host of Aunts: Doris Whalen, Caroline Harris(Wilbert), Janice Hackney(Marvin), and Vanessa Robinson and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 16, 2021 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 at the funeral home.
