Born on June 11, 1940, he was the son of Orian William Pippin, Carrie Payne Harris and James Russell Harris. In addition to his parents, Stuart was preceded in death by his son, Vincent Stuart Pippin. 

Stuart spent many years working in the grocery business. First with Safeway then in later years with several independent grocery stores. He was best known for his love of fishing and boats. Many days were spent fishing with family and friends which was always his greatest passion. After retiring he began restoring several antique vehicles which were always a great sense of pride for him.

Stuart is survived by his daughter, Ruth Ann Compton and husband Chris of Louisa, granddaughters Carrie Pippin Huffman of Waynesboro, Kaylyn Pippin Hales and great granddaughter Karmen Louise Hales of Louisa. He also leaves behind his devoted brothers James William Pippin (Deanne) and Vasco Calvin Harris (Bonnie) both of Louisa.

The family will have a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
