Romero Daniel Cabell, 28, of Orange, departed this life to be with the LORD on Friday, May 5, 2023. He was born the younger twin in Charlottesville, VA to Detric Cabell and Leslie A. Carter. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Wilmer and Audrey Carter and Henry Sr. and Ruth Cabell.
He is survived by his parents, Detric Cabell and Leslie A. Carter, his siblings, twin brother, Roman D. Cabell of Orange, Tehkyiah and Dijonti Becks, Jeremiah Cabell of Charlottesville, Djimir Watson of Boston, MA, and Tashyana Chambers of Waynesboro; grandparents, Leroy and Margaret Carter of Gordonsville and Patricia Cabell of Charlottesville; aunts Taporia Washington (Ralph Jr.), of Louisa, Rita Carter of Gordonsville, Patrice Scott (Cardell) and LaToya Cabell of Charlottesville; uncles Phillip (Petey) Cabell and Eric Cabell of Charlottesville; his best friend, Demetrick Washington and his goddaughter, Paisley Washington of Orange; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Romero attended and graduated with honors from Orange County Public Schools. He also attended Germanna Community College in Locust Grove. He was baptized and a member of New Fellowship Christian Center in Orange. Romero was a member of the youth choir, as a teen and young adult, he was a member of the Blessed and Anointed Mime Ministry and a member of the C.V.O.Y.A ministry.
He was employed by Miller’s Law Firm, Payne’s Pools and Spas, Elwood Sparks, and Continental Factory. Also, he was employed with a tree service company, a moving company and other various jobs.
Romero was a very kind-hearted and loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, great-grandson, cousin and friend to all. He was generous to a fault, would help anyone and give what he had to be a blessing to people. He never disrespected anyone. He loved to tell jokes, laugh, dance and look good. Romero desired to be godly man. He would say “GOD’s got me, just pray, Mom. I may not be where I’m supposed to be but I do love the LORD and have relationship with HIM. Don’t worry, Mom, please!”
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 15, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville with interment to follow in Woodberry Cemetery in Gordonsville.
