Nancy Fisher Carpenter, 79 of Rochelle, Va., passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at her home. She was born on July 23, 1944 to the late Oscar Leighton Fisher and Florence Mildred Jones Fisher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Ray Carpenter; brother, Oscar Leighton Fisher, Jr.; and sister, Carmelitz Bontz.

She is survived by her sons, David Ray Carpenter and wife Cathy and Jeffrey Wayne Carpenter and wife Wanda; grandchildren, Lauren Owen and husband Anthony and Joshua Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Shae, Silas and Parker Owen; and many step-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
