Ivor Thomas Butler, 83 of Bumpass, died Thursday October 27, 2022 at Henrico Doctors Hospital. Born January 6, 1939 in Louisa, he was the son of the late Elvin and Annie Butler. He was the husband of the late Mary Frances Butler and was also preceded in death by two children, Leroy Smith, Ruby “Sissy” Smith and two brothers, James Butler and Ellis Butler.

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Butler (Laurie), Thomas Smith, daughters, Frances Delancey (Bryan), Bonnie Butler (Tommy), his brothers, Wayne Butler, Phillip Butler, grandchildren, Amber Butler, Kenneth Butler, Jr., Jessica Wright, Laurie Butler, Donnie Butler, Jake Stewardson, Bethany Osborne, Tyler Osborne, Savannah Osborn, Christopher Embrey, Kimberly Embrey, Timothy Thomas, Hunter Delancey, Mary Ann Kober, Joshua Kober, Earnie Virts, Jr., Alyssa Smith, Skyler Smith, Chrissy Widdifield, Lauren Smith and a number of great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 2, 2022 at the Family Cemetery on Buckner Road in Bumpass with Pastor Jim Blackwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday November 1 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville.
