Michael Lee Mitchell Jr. 49 of Gordonsville passed away Friday, October 25, 2024. He was born August 26, 1975 in Charlottesville and was the son of the late Michael Lee Mitchell Sr.

He was employed by Wal Mart Distribution Center at Zion X Roads and was well known as DJ Mike.

He is survived by his mother, Ellen Denise Mitchell; daughters, Victoria Elaine Mitchell and her husband Mike Thacker, Vanessa Grace Mitchell and her significant other Bradley Eyler; son Michael Lee Mitchell III; sister Laura Ellen Loudermilk and husband Calvin; and grandchildren, Brooklynn Elaine Thacker and Mason Lee Mitchell; aunts and uncles David and Debbie Fincham all of Gordonsville, John and Janet Mitchell of Charlotte, NC; and a host of cousins and special friends.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday October 31, 2024. A private interment will immediately follow for family members only. Pastor Darvin Satterwhite will officiate.
