Mary U. Williams (Siers), age of 81, died peacefully in her sleep at home in Louisa, VA after a slow battle with Alzheimer’s on Feb. 18th 2022.

Mary was born in Carl, WV on May 23, 1940 to Russell and Marie Siers of Nettie, WV. She is survived by her two Sisters, Loretta Merriman of VA and Eva Simms of WV. Her Husband John “Willie” Williams of Honolulu, HI, which she met while serving in the US Army, predeceased Mary in 1986. She never remarried.

She is survived by her five children: Marene Fice, of CA; John Williams Jr. of VA; Tammy Asuega, of NV; Deborah Diez, of NY; and Sandra Calloway, of TN. As well as being survived by her fifteen grandchildren and her nineteen great grandchildren. Son Mark Woodward, of CA predeceased Mary in 2020.

Mary is remembered for her generosity in life, her love for the Lord and His works, and the caring of her family. Always, she was there to help out. She kept busy from running her own businesses to taking care of others. She strived to be independent.

In the end, she was surrounded by family. As the Alzheimer’s progressed, she was taken care of by her children and her oldest granddaughter Maryann Schifflet of VA. We will have a celebration of life in Virginia during the summer time.
