Mary Elizabeth Snow, 94 of Stanardsville, Va., passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in Charlottesville, Va. She was born on June 11, 1930 to the late Herman Breeden and Minnie P. Breeden. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Otis Wilson Snow; daughters, Barbara Ann Snow and Janet Marie Jarrell; brothers, Harry, Luther, and Vernon Breeden; sisters, Ruth Snow, Nita Eppard, Nina Waldron, Geneva Snow, Ruby Shifflett, and Ethel Breeden.

Mary was a member of South River United Methodist Church. She was a great “Granny Snow” to many children throughout the area.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Wilson Snow of Shipman, Va., David Ray Snow and James Edward Snow (Debbie), both of Stanardsville, Va.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with interment in Pocosan Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
