Martha Ann Brumett, 94, formerly of Unionville and Orange died on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Harbor in Stanardsville. She was born on May 29, 1930, in Carmi, IL, and was the daughter of the late Ted Renshaw and Leota Caplinger Renshaw. She is also predeceased by her husband Rev. Joe Wayne Brumett; and a brother Ray Renshaw.
She is survived by two daughters Leah Catherine Norton of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and Lynne DeWitt of Orange; one son J. Wade Brumett and wife Patsi of Reva; five grandchildren Marti Henry, Patricia Brumett, Aaron Norton, Jarrett Brumett, and wife Mary, and Ian Norton; four great-grandchildren Lane Smith, Aidan Henry, Gavan Henry, Jeffrey Wade Brumett; and a sister Marylin Clark of St. Petersburg, FL.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Unionville Christian Church Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Light will officiate. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Unionville Christian Church Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 26, Unionville, Va. 22567. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
