Marilyn Johns, 88, of Palmyra, Virginia, passed away in her home on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Born on December 10, 1935, she was the daughter of Frank Christopher and Florence Christopher. Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved son Gary Clement, her husband Philip Johns, her sister, Elizabeth Perdeck, and her son-in-law Gene Thompson.
Marilyn was born in Staten Island, where she married and soon afterwards relocated to NJ to raise her family. She later established her permanent residence in the beautiful community of Lake Monticello in Virginia.
She was a published poet and proud mother of six children. Her passions included bird watching, butterflies and marveling in the beauty of the nature that surrounded her. She also enjoyed taking road trips & discovering new restaurants and shops along the way.
Marilyn leaves behind a legacy that continues to grow; her children, Donna Clement, John Clement and his wife Tami, Bob Clement and his wife Dianne, Karen Thompson, Jill Sommer and her husband Kevin and Stephanie Giacalone (surviving wife of Gary Clement). She is also survived by her companion William Gray, 12 Grandkids and 10 Great Grandkids.
