Lloyd Thomas Nicholson 81 of Orange passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the UVA Culpeper Medical Center. He was born June 22, 1943, in Lewis County, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, John R Nicholson, Sr, mother, Edra Grace White Nicholson, his wife, Ursel Maria Hotz Nicholson, and sister, Peggy Sue Gaines. Mr. Nicholson was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, the American Legion, the VFW, and the Orange Moose Lodge. He was a retired insurance agent with State Farm.

He is survived by his son, Thomas R Nicholson of Orange; two brothers Leonard Eugene Nicholson and John R Nicholson, Jr both of Orange; sister Betty N Maloney of Cincinnati, Ohio; granddaughter Abbie Nicole Nicholson and great-grandchild Kayce John Thomas Foster.

A graveside service will be held at the Culpeper National Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 26, 2024, with Pastor Tim Duggins officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 6-8 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home chapel in Orange.
