Linda Sue White Gigel passed away on Monday April 22^nd 2024, at her home in Madison Va surrounded by her children and granddaughter. She was born to Woodrow W. White and Eva Belle Jenkins White on January 31, 1951 and lived almost all her life in Madison. She is survived by her son Elijah Wilson Gigel, her daughter Alicia Jean Eva Gigel and granddaughter Willow Eve Mayer.

She graduated from Madison County High School in 1969 and was active in student life, also having painted the Mountaineer on the football score board. She continued her education at Averette College in Danville, Va.  graduating in 1973. Linda dedicated her life to helping others working in Social Services with child protective services, adult protective services, and later in life with evening help groups. Linda was an active member of Rapidan Baptist Church. As a Trustee and Deacon, she helped in many ways with youth groups and adult activities and was always in attendance when the church doors were open. She greatly enjoyed art, jewelry, and the beauty of nature around her with a particular fondness for the smaller, fuzzier creatures. Her light and love will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of life will be held at Rapidan Baptist Church on May 5th. This will be after the Sunday service. We ask that you bring a covered dish and your best story.
