Linda Louise Agard, 74 of Ruckersville, Va., passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Sentra Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was born on September 24, 1950 to the late Charles Dewitt Brown and Shirley Myrtle Coward Brown. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Theodore Charles Brown and George Emmet Brown.

Linda was an avid believer in helping those in need and made charitable contributions with her money and her time. Some of the organizations she contributed to include The Voice of the Martyrs, Woman’s Club of Greene County, International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, The local shelter for help in emergency, the JABA center, and the Salvation Army. In 2021, 2023, and 2024 she was awarded the President’s Bronze Volunteer Service Award for her many hours of volunteer work knitting items for seniors. Together with her husband, Linda also provided marital counseling to those in her church and helped to lead the MOMS ministry of Highland Heights Church of New York.

Minister Linda Agard was instrumental in changing the lives of many women inside Highland Church, and out. That didn’t stop when she moved with her family to Virginia.

Having been trained by her predecessor Pastor Jean Griffin (now in glory) also of Highland Church, she used her passion for support to help women experience deliverance and healing emotionally, mentally, and in their souls! The Ministry MOMS Team (Making Our Mothering Successful) changed the lives of many, many women.

First and foremost was seeing women saved, and the paramount tool was the Holy Scriptures! If it wasn’t through the Bible word, Linda would not use it! She also shared many Christian tools by female authors to empower.

She taught women to love God, their families and themselves!

There still remains today in Christian’s Life Center, Highland Church, Covenant Church, Emmanuel Christian Center, Touching Hands Ministry, as well as Fresh Fire Ministries a remnant of souls touched by Linda’s ministry of service.

She loved God, her husband of 34 years, and her family first and foremost. She also had a heart for hurting women. Linda continued her ministry of service to care for her loving husband and very best friend, until the very end.
