Lance Tyrone Johnson (Boodah) 38, of Louisa, Virginia, passed away on November 4, 2024 in Charlottesville, Va.

Born on November 24, 1985, he was the son of the late William Henry Johnson Sr. and Betty Johnson. Lance was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Harold and Geraldine Jackson and paternal grandparents John and Lucille Johnson. Three uncles James Edward Jackson, Carl Edward Johnson and Herbert Jr Jackson; one nephew Ja’Quan Dickerson.

He was a 2004 graduate of Louisa County High School. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces Nia Johnson-Carey and Ma’Nya Johnson-Allen; and his little best friend Fat Boi. Boodah was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Lance is survived by his mother, Betty Johnson, two sisters Antoinette Dickerson (Korey), Isis Johnson, two brothers Tracy Johnson and William Johnson Jr. four uncles: Cedric Johnson (Christine), Marcus Brown (Michelle), Joseph E Jackson (Yolanda), Charles Lee Jackson. seven aunts Dorothy Bishop (Paul) Gladys Harris (John), Maria Johnson, Earline Fortune, Martha Ann Holiday, Mary Frances Jackson and Novell Brown (Hayes).He is also survived by six nephews and nine nieces. His God-mother Carol Hill and a special friend Miranda Pritchett. Best friends Sunshine and Eric Hughes and a host of other relatives and friends.  

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville.
