Kenneth Gordon Robinson             June 8, 2023

Kenneth Gordon Robinson, 79, died June 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on September 2, 1943. To his close friends and family, he was known as “Sand Wedge.” He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and understood and thanked God for all the blessings in his life. He was an inspiration even to the last day on this earth. The family wants to thank and glorify God the Father for all the time He gave us with Ken. We praise God that He gave His only begotten Son so Ken can be in heaven for all eternity.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail Jarvis Robinson of Charlottesville, his two sons Brian Gordon Robinson, his wife Rebecca Robinson, granddaughters Ava Grace Robinson and Aubree Faith Robinson of Standardsville, VA, and Gregg Alan Robinson, grandsons Arlen McClain Robinson, Keegan Eldridge Robinson, Gavin Ambrose Robinson and granddaughter Karrington Elenora Robinson of Charlottesville, his sister Patricia Salisbury of Clackamus, Oregon. Ken was an avid golfer with his many friends at Old Trails in Crozet. Ken will be remembered by his family for his generosity and his love for all.

A memorial service will be held at the Evergreen Church of Brethren 645 Evergreen Church Road, Standardsville, on Friday, June 16, 2023 with Pastor Brian Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m.; a memorial service will be held at 12 noon.  A meal will follow the service. A private interment service will be in Emporia, Virginia on Saturday, June 17, 2023.
