Katherine Jean Woodward, 69 of Rochelle, Va., passed away on November 22, 2024 at Autumn Care of Madison. She was born on August 9, 1955 to the late Nathan Osceola Joiner and Emma Jean Breeden. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Joe and James Joiner.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Wayne Woodward, Sr.; her sons, Roger Wayne Woodward, Jr. and fiancée Amanda Miller, Stephen Dale Swink and wife Robin, Thomas Edward Swink, Jr. and Derrick Evan Woodward; sisters, Claire Woodward (Wendell) and Peggy Joiner (Paul Keyser); brothers, Clarence “Woodie” Woodward and Kevin Woodward; grandchildren, Gaines Swink, Whitlee Swink, Roger Wayne Woodward, III, William Royal Woodward, Alyssa Katherine Woodward, Derrick Evan Woodward, Jr., and Julie Woodward; very special niece, Tiffany Lamb; and Nadia Finks, mother of her grandchildren Roger, William, and Alyssa.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison with Pastor David Wallace officiating. Interment will be in Etlan Cemetery. The family will have a visitation on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
