Junior Thomas Morris, age 91, of Stanardsville, VA, passed away on May 29, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born on April 11, 1933 in Rockingham County, he was the son of the late Norman and Fannie Morris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Frances Morris; a son, Winston Wade Morris; brothers, George Morris, Nelson Morris, Owen D. Morris, and foster brother, Alfred Smith; sisters, Margaret Tooley, Reva Morris, and Marie Morris.



Junior is survived by his son, Wayne Franklin Morris (Brenda); a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Morris; brothers, Ferrell Morris, Elwood Morris, foster brothers, Ivan Richard, Paul Bruce, Jerry Nicholes; special niece, Ginny Dean; grandchildren, Jason Morris (Bridget), Frank Morris (Margie), Amanda Morris, Derek Morris, Christina Morris (Eric Snoddy), Dana Morris (Timmy Shifflett); great-grandchildren, Brianna, Gary, Derek Jr., Jared, Angie, Stella, Eli, Chase, Avery, Elliott Wayed; one great-great grandchild, Maliah June; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

There will be a private graveside service at 2 p.m. at Knights Chapel Cemetery with Eddie Deane officiating.
