Junior Earl Morris, 95 of Dyke, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the UVA Hospital. He was born on March 12, 1928 in Greene County, Va. to the late Herman Jackson Morris and Clemmie Anna Morris. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Morris; son-in-law, Douglas Irvin Brill; brothers, Nelson J., Dudley, Hurley, Ray, and James Morris; sisters, Gladys Nelson and Patsy Hall; grandson, Zachery Harrison Collier; granddaughter, Angelia Shifflett.

He is survived by his daughters, Clara Anna Brill and Elizabeth Marthis Shifflett and husband Monte, all of Dyke; a nephew treated as a son, Larry Wayne Morris and wife Arlene of Troy, Va. ;sister, Christine Seay and husband Everett of Maryland; grandchildren, Denise Shifflett and husband David, Lori Shifflett and companion Jeff Eppard, Brian Shifflett and wife Tracy, Aimee Bunch and husband Richard, and Lisa Collier and husband Glenn, who treated him like a father; eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Van Crawford officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
