June Herndon Miller, 97, of Midlothian, Va., passed away peacefully at her home on October 20, 2022. Born May 15, 1925 in Orange, she was the daughter of the late Willie Newton Herndon and Myrtle Leake Herndon. She was a 1942 graduate of Orange High School (Belleview Avenue) and attended Longwood College. She was employed as a secretary including the Orange County Welfare. She was a member of the Orange Baptist Church and married to the late Orange physician Dr. David H. Miller. Survivors include one son, Theodore P. (Ted) Clarke and wife Cyndi of West Laurel, Maryland, one sister, Charlotte Allison of Midlothian, and many nephews, nieces and great and great grand nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jaquelin H. Patterson and Patricia (Patty) O Herndon of Orange and Emma H. Edwards of Manassas, Virginia. 

A graveside remembrance at Graham Cemetery will be held at a future date. James River Hospice and Preddy Funeral Home of Orange was in charge of the arrangements.
