In Loving Memory of Reginald Jerome White.
Our beloved Reginald Jerome White, Sr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 64. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished member of his large family. Jerome will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his loved ones, his warm spirit, and his enduring strength.
Born and raised in Charlottesville, Jerome spent his life as a guiding light and source of strength for his family and friends. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Lu cinda, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge. His three sons, Reginald Reggie” White, Paris L. White (Monique), and Aaron O. Childs (Jessica) and ten grandchildren carry forward his legacy of generosity, integrity, and resilience.
Jerome was one of many siblings and shared a close bond with each of them. His large and loving family will forever hold his memory close, cherishing the countless moments spent together. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Loretta White-Martin, Jamie Mills, Stephen White, Ron Bowles, Violetta Anderson, James Anderson, Maurice Ander son, Ruth Wilcox (Darrell), and Kevin Anderson (Tamula), an aunt Alveta Moton (Ray mond) and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also a steadfast friend to many and brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. Jerome was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Bowles, father, James Russell Anderson, and stepfather, Robert N. Bowles, and siblings Cynthia White, Robert Bowles, Andre Anderson, Judy Anderson, and Eric Anderson.
Throughout his life, Jerome was known for his work ethic, his compassion, and his loyalty. He lived each day with laughter and a generous heart, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jerome will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Preddy’s Funeral Home, 301 South Main Street, Gordonsville, Virginia 22942 to celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations in memory of Jerome White be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Piedmont.
