James Randolph McWilliams, Sr., 81 of Barboursville, died Tuesday December 27, 2022 at his residence. Born December 26, 1941 in Woodstock, he was the son of the late Lawrence Ray McWilliams and Helen Louise Lentz McWilliams. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Ray McWilliams. Mr. McWilliams retired from VDOT after thirty years, where he worked as an inspector.

He is survived by his wife Ruth A. McWilliams, four sons, Lonnie McWilliams and wife Stewart of Barboursville, Dale McWilliams and wife Brenda of Barboursville, James McWilliams, Jr. and wife Tina of Barboursville, Mark McWilliams and wife Angie of Columbia, two daughters, Gina Miller and husband Greg of Barboursville, Marci Sue Sheperd of Barboursville, step-daughter, Robbie Economos and husband Jeff of Charlottesville, special friends, Wayne Richards of Scottsville, Neal Robinson of Barboursville, fourteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday December 30, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville with Pastor Greg Miller officiating. Interment will be private in the family cemetery.
