Iris Jean Campbell, 85, of Gordonsville, died Saturday, October 8, 2023. Born August 27, 1938 in Six Mile, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Harrison Whitlock, Jr. and Flora Lanora Aiken. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Edgar Campbell, three brothers, Robert Kenneth Whitlock, Bobby Winford Whitlock, Troy Whitlock and four sisters, Mary Chambers, Ella Rae Elrod, Sue Stiens and Elizabeth Etrilla Lindsay.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by two sons, Joel Leslie Mills of Gordonsville, Mark Edward Mills of Culpeper; two daughters, Peggy S. Mills of Kearnysville, WV, Lynn Mills Carroll of Salmon, Idaho; stepson, Albert Campbell of Bumpass; thirteen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.



A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville with Chaplin, Susan Loving officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville.
