Helen May Stanley 82 of Madison passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at her home. Born May 21, 1939 in Madison she
was the daughter of the late Walter Lee Cave and Gertie Blanche Cave. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Hiram Edward Peyton and Fred Edward Stanley, one brother, Herbert Cave, one sister, Eunice Weaver, one granddaughter, Ashley Weaver and two son-in-law, Keith Hurt and Wendel Jenkins,
She is survived by five daughters, Julia Hurt, Kathy Gordon and spouse, Jerry, Debra Jenkins, Tammy Stanley and spouse, Wesley, Betty Melton and spouse, Gary, one son, Don Peyton, four brothers, Leonard Cave, Welford Cave, Arthur Cave and Dewey Cave, three sisters, Della Johnston, Lois Hurt and Doris Cave;
fifteen, grandchildren, Kimberly Dean, Brian Hurt, Tracy Corbin, Lindsay Gordon, Brad Weaver, Tony Champion, Eric Champion, Casey Elswick, Timothy Garr, Joshua Melton, Danielle Peyton, Houston Peyton, Jared Peyton, Eddie Peyton and Dorothy Spencer;
and twenty one great grandchildren, Zachary Dean, Cynthia Perreault, Leslie Auna Dean, Blake Hurt, Christian Corbin, Alayna Corbin, Kayden Corbin, Haylei Hughes, Noah Hughes, Sarah Hughes, Luke Weaver, Gavin Weaver, Peytyn Weaver, Katelynn Weaver, Jordan Elswick, Aleeyah Elswick, Jeremiah Elswick, Delanie Garr, Elijah Garr, Ethan Spencer and Dakota Champion (coming in July).
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison conducted by Pastor Teddy Cave with interment in Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Madison.
