Hannah Bell Houchens Hunter (Nellie) daughter of the late Eugene and Lizzie Houchens was born January 1, 1930 and departed this life August 30, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband Deacon Charles Hunter and great granddaughter Ariyon Houchens. Five sisters, Marie Houchens, Alice Houchens, Elizabeth Houchens, Lucille Yancey and Dorothy Henson. Six brothers Eugene Jr. James, Harry Lee, Ralph, John Williams and Cornelius Houchens.

 

She joined Ebenezer Baptist Church but later joined Rising Sun Baptist Church. Hannah was a people person, she loved and helped anyone, in any way she could. She leaves to cherish her love two daughters Hannah Butler and Helen Houchens, one son Clarence Houchens, two step-daughters Frances Hunter and Mary Taylor. Thirteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, eighteen great great grandchildren, and one great .great great grandchild. Two God sons Jeff Hunter and Jaleel Henson, one God daughter Emily Butler, two sisters-in law Alberta Houchens and Bertha D. Houchens and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
