Genevieve Adele “Bea” Trainham Ornduff went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2022. She was born on July 28, 1921 to Joseph Trainham and Jennie Sprouse Trainham in Pendleton, Virginia.

Ms. Bea, as she was known by many, was a long-time member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She truly loved Jesus, and because of that, she lived her life in service of Him and others. She was a constant source of wisdom and encouragement for family, friends, church members, and anyone who was in need. She baked coconut pies, lemon cakes, and her infamous “Nanny Bread” for everyone in the community. Her door was always open, welcoming sunshine, neighbors and most of all, her awesome God. When she was not in the kitchen cooking and sharing a meal with whoever happened to show up, you could find her outside with her flowers, digging in the dirt. She loved her little house and yard and worked tirelessly to keep it neat and tidy. She loved her family with all her heart, and never neglected to show that love on a daily basis.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Everett L. Ornduff and grandchildren Todd and Deidra. She is survived by one daughter, Jacquelyn Faulconer (Robert); two sons, William Ornduff Sr.(Brenda) and Micheal Ornduff (Jennifer) all of Gordonsville; grandchildren, Reneé Lamb(Troy) of Gordonsville, Jill Quillen(Mike) of Roanoke, Amy Lamb of Barborsville, William Ornduff Jr.(Sonya) of Gordonsville; granddaughter in-law, Diane Ornduff of Montpelier; great grandchildren, Dana, Hannah, Daniel, Matthew, Sarah, Rebekah(Andrew), Leah, William III(Heather), Brandon(Hannah), Brittany and Brooke; three great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister in-law, Beaulah Proffit of Richmond; niece, June Simms of Gordonsville.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday March 26, 2022 at Mechanicsville Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Roy Thomas will officiate.
