Frances Gaar Novelli, 85 of Culpeper, died Saturday, November 11, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ruby Gaar; her sisters, Delsie Gaar, Hazel Dale, and Emily Faye Gaar.

Mrs. Novelli was a resident of The Culpeper for the last six years. She retired from Verizon after 22 years of employment. Mrs. Novelli was a member of Rapidan Baptist Church in Madison County. She enjoyed home decorating, gardening, golf, and caring for her pets.

She is survived by her sisters, Emily G. Jenkins of Culpeper, Brenda G. Pulliam (William) and Linda G. Pulliam (George) all of Powhatan, Va; nieces, Valerie G. Lantz (Wayne) and son of Richmond, Va. and Ayern Gaar and daughter of Culpeper, Va.; nephews, Bryant R. Jenkins (Stacy) and children of Culpeper, G. L. Pulliam, Jr. (Stacey) and children, and C. Brandon Pulliam (Becky) and children of Midlothian, Va.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Rapidan Baptist Church with Bob Slaven officiating. Interment will be in Rapidan/Rose Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the church.
