Eunice Geneva Beasley Williams                September 30, 2022

Eunice Geneva Beasley Williams, 81, of Barboursville, VA, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Greene County, VA, October 15, 1940 to the late George Washington Beasley and Ethel Lee Roach Beasley. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Lee Williams; sister, Mary Juanita Beasley Pratt; nephew, Hubert Leroy Shifflett; niece, Joann Marie Pratt Rivera; and Joseph “Jobie” Mullins who she loved like a son.

She is survived by her sons Samuel Lee Williams, Jr, of Barboursville, Steven Ray Williams and wife Angie of Spout Spring; Tito Rivera and wife Casey of Baltimore; Grandchildren; Sierra L. Prue of Orange, Ashleigh D. Williams of Barboursville, Cheyenne T. Batton of Charlottesville, and Hayden S. Williams and Alyssa G. Williams of Spout Spring; Great Grandchildren; Josie C. Batton and Cohen L. Batton of Charlottesville, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of High-Top Pentecostal Church of Geer, Va. Her faith and commitment to the Lord was unwavering. She developed a love for gospel music during her childhood while singing and spreading the gospel at churches and revivals. Her home was always open to family and friends, especially to her son’s friends. Some of them would say it was a second home to them. She believed in old fashioned hospitality and enjoyed cooking, sharing coffee, and telling stories. She was also known as “Jenny” to some of her closest friends. Most of all she loved her family, especially her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

A special thank you to Lois Bond and Sonja Mullins Garton who she loved dearly and to all of her family, friends, and caregivers that assisted with her care over the past few years.
