Emma Jean Dyer 77 of Orange passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at her residence. She was born December 18, 1945 in Charlottesville to the late Lawrence Lillard Morris and Mary Fannie Geer Morris. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Dyer, sons, William Earl Dyer Jr., Roy Michael Dyer, son-in-law Robert Ray Seale, brothers, Roy Franklin Morris and Earl Lillard Morris.

She is survived by her life partner, David Garr of Orange; a daughter, Shelva J. Seale and fiance’ Earl Kibler of Orange; sons, Tony R, Dyer of Madison, Lawrence E. Dyer and wife Wendy of Brightwood, Donald R. Dyer and wife Sandra of Gordonsville; grandchildren, Ashley Dyer, Rebecca Thomas, Jessica Seale, Parker Seale, Justin Dyer, Coty Dyer, Tony Junior Dyer, Samantha Dyer, William “Bubby” Dyer, Jake Dyer, Angie Fincham and Stasha Shifflett; great-grandchildren, Blaine Dyer, Brooklyn Dyer, Emma Dyer, Riley Childress, Kaci Clarke, Willow Shifflett, Noah Shifflett, Hunter and Ethan Cooley and Jakob Perry.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Rochelle Christian Church with interment in the church cemetery conducted by Pastor Tim Atkins. The family will receive friends Friday, November 10, 2023 at the church from 5 to 7 pm.
