Elvin L. Snow                                   June 21, 2024

Elvin L. Snow, age 82, from Barboursville, Va., departed his life here on earth on June 21, 2024. Elvin was born in Whitehall, Va., on September 10, 1941. He was the son of the late Elmer S. Snow and Lucille S. Snow.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Shifflett Snow; and three brothers, James Snow, Elmer Snow, Jr. and Larry Snow.

Elvin is survived by two children, Randy Snow, and Tammy Snow; three sisters, Maxine Moneymaker, Faye Runkle, and Linda Marshall; two brothers, Steven Earl Snow, and Lonnie Snow. He also had two stepchildren whom he loved dearly, Lindsay Spradlin, and Barbara Jean Isaacs; three grandchildren, Boddy Thacker, Sherry Botkin, and Shannon Spradlin; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Elvin served in the United States Army then worked as a farmer, a truck driver, and owned Crozet Sanitary Service. He retired from A.G. Dillard Excavating at 70 years old.

Elvin was a retired "Lifer" of the Minutemen Motorcycle Club. He loved his MCC family, and he will always be remembered with a warm and uplifting greeting with a big smile on his face to all who met him.

Elvin was a simple man who loved to work. He enjoyed his time off "loafing," as he would call it, and was always open to an adventure. He enjoyed camping, fishing, Nascar races, sharing old stories, and spending time with his family and friends.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors of Autumn Care, Culpeper Hospital, Inova Hospital, and UVA Medical Center for their care and support of Elvin and his family. Also, a very special thank you to all of the friends that offered their care and support, special meals, and a friendly visit during Elvins sickness.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Monticello Memory Gardens with Pastor David Wallace officiating.
