Elizabeth was born August 21,1936, to the late William Henry Shiflett & Cordie Morris Shiflett. On May 9, 1953, Elizabeth married her sweetheart Delmer Rogers Watson, and they celebrated 57 years of marriage until Delmer's passing on July 31 of 2010. Elizabeth was a loving and devoted mother to her four children Steve, Debra, Larry and Keith Watson. 

She was preceded in death by her son Larry Craig Watson, Husband Delmer Watson, brothers Richard Eugene "Gene" Shiflett & William Shifflet Jr., Son-in-law Willam Vale and her faithful confidant who was also her sister-in-law Betty S. Shiflett.

She was survived by her children Steve A. Watson and his wife Reese Watson, Debra W. Vale, Keith A Watson and his wife Margreta Watson. 

Grandchildren Kimberly (Eric) Shirley, Wayne (Margaux) Watson, Patricia (Willy) Bucy, Candice (Michael) Kuntz, Bryan (Sarah) Watson, Amber Watson, Levi (Katylynn) Kellum, Lucas Kellum and Skyler Brinkley. 

Beloved GG to Madison, Aiden, Ridge, Jacqulynn, Viviann, MapleAnn, Hogan, Emmett, Eli, Ally, Aston, Ella, Brenden, Ava, Tanner, Easton, Emma, Kinsley, Ariana and Spencer. 

Elizabeth attended Knights Chapel of Barboursville, VA. However, she was a member of the Trevilians Baptist Church where she was baptized and accepted Jesus as her Saviour at the tender age of 7. 

Additionally, the family would like to give a special thanks to her nieces Sharon King & Pamela Watson, Ike King Keith Williams, Joey Johnson.

 A special, thank you to Pastor Chris Ryan, Daystar Church in Gordonsville, for officiating services, and Mildred Donovan who is overseeing family dinner held at Knights Chapel, following the service. 

A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville, VA on Friday April 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Hospice, or your charity of choice.
