David Roger Taylor Sr. 71 of Louisa passed away Tuesday March 25, 2025 in Fairfax. He was born February 17, 1954 in Bristol, VA and was the son of the late Brown Lowe Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Betty L. Taylor and brothers, Glenn and Jerry Taylor.

He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Ellen Taylor: significant other, Gwen Taylor; mother-in-law, Lottie Lucas; daughters, Sheila Taylor, Melissa Chisholm, Betty Taylor, Sarabeth Taylor, Lisa Truslow (Mark); favorite son, David Roger Taylor Jr.; brothers, Randle Taylor (Doris), Benny Lee Taylor; grandchildren, Daniel Fitzgerald, Melinda Taylor, Hailey Loeser; great-grandchildren, Trinity Burns, Jayla Burns, Zachariah Burns, and Carter Ray Fitzgerald.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday, March 31, 2025 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery in Louisa. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
