Danny Keith Lawson, 59 of Ruckersville, Va. went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Danny was born on July 9, 1962 to Eugene and Helen Lawson of whom preceded him in death. Also preceding him is a brother, Eugene “Shirley” Lawson and granddaughter, Emma Raine Gentry.

Danny was employed at the University of Virginia Facilities Management for 36 years. In his time away from work, he loved to cut wood and work on remodeling his family home. He also loved spending time on a special porch and Facetiming! If you laughed, you know who you are.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pam Lawson; three daughters, Ashley Lawson (special friend Chris White), Katlyn Gentry (Jordan), Whitney Lawson (special friend Colby Sheehan); sister, LuLinda “Lu” Hartman (Steve) of Fredericksburg, Va.; brothers, Jeff Lawson (Debbie) of Ruckersville and Randy Lawson (Michelle) of Hayes, Va.; grandson, Landon Jackson and granddaughter, Oaklee Gentry. Also surviving are a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Special cousins include Dale, Gilmer, and Mark Lawson. Special friends include Page Fox, Steve Smith, and Leon Beasley.

Special thanks to the staff of Sentara Martha Jefferson for their never-ending care for Danny.

Also special thanks to Pastor Josh Shifflett for always being there for our family and Pastor David Burrelle of the Church of Solsburg.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 27, 2021 at First Bible Baptist Church in Stanardsville with interment in Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church following the interment.
