Clarence Daniel “Danny” Yancey, 71, of Mallorys Ford Rd. Gordonsville, VA. died on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville. Danny was born on April 9, 1951 in Charlottesville and was the son of the late George Daniel “Sam” Yancey and Alice Reva Powell Yancey. He was also preceded in death by a son Anthony E. Yancey.

Danny was a member of the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church and was retired  from the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Danny is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Yancey and Fiance Tucker Hall of Richmond; a son Jonathan Daniel Yancey and wife Amy of Chesterfield; one grandson Aidan Yancey; a brother George Yancey and wife Phyllis of Gordonsville; a sister Glenna Yancey and husband Obed Torres of Gordonsville; a niece; and three nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange with interment in the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jeffrey 
Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Preddy Funeral Home in Orange.
