Christopher Michael Puchino, 54, of Barboursville, Virginia, passed away suddenly from natural causes on June 21, 2023. Chris was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on November 4, 1968, to Janet L. Puchino and Francis J. Puchino. After graduating from Archbishop Ryan High School, he served as a medical Corpsman in the United States Navy specializing as a dialysis technician. Following his honorable discharge from his military service, Chris continued his education and medical career and graduated with his nursing degree. He was a successful, caring and dedicated Registered Nurse for over 25 years, most recently working at Woodberry Forest School in Madison, Virginia.
Chris was devoted to spending time with his three children and his canine companion, Maisie. He was an avid sports fan of Notre Dame, the Dallas Cowboys, LA Dodgers, Seventy Sixers and Montreal Canadiens. He and his Uncle Richard were famously known in their family as Notre Dame’s biggest football fans. Chris loved movies, music, and attending concerts with his children and his best friend Brad Presley. He not only enjoyed such pastimes, but also developed an encyclopedic knowledge of these interests.
As an avid world traveler, one of his most important and memorable trips was with his daughter, Amelia, to attend a Papal Audience with Pope Francis at the Vatican City, Italy. Prior to that, he made a catholic pilgrimage to the holy city of Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
