Carolyn June Lentz Scott, 86 of Ruckersville, Va. passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at her home. She was born on November 4, 1936 to the late Robert Joseph Lentz and Marybelle Craven Lentz. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Odell Scott; son Robert James Scott; brothers, Joseph W. Lentz, David M. Lentz, and Stephen C. Lentz; sister, Christina J. Lentz.

She retired in 1994 from Albemarle County Information Services.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ross Elliott and husband Robert of Ruckersville; daughter-in-law, Teresa McCauley of Stuarts Draft; sons, Daniel Lee Scott and wife Joyce of Weyers Cave, Michael Wayne Scott and wife Kim of Portsmouth; sisters, Mary E. Nichols of Shirley, In., Clara P. Willis of White Ash, Il.; grandchildren, Cristina E. Foley and husband David of Charlottesville, Dylan S. Ross of Richmond, Jimmy Scott of Staunton, Caryn D. Ross and husband John Curnyn of Ga., Jake Scott and wife Katie of Harrisonburg, Nathan Scott of Portsmouth; great-grandchildren, Taylor L. Foley, Jordan E. Foley, David E. Foley, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Laurel Hill Baptist Church with interment in Culpeper National Cemetery at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church.
