Barbara Ruth Cowan, 77 of Rhoadesville, Va. passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at UVA Hospital. She was born on June 20, 1945 to the late William Francis Cowan, Sr. and Laurana Wingate Jones Cowan. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Cowan, Jr.; sisters, Larana Lee Cowan and Christine Cowan

She is survived by her brothers, Hayward Cowan and wife Faye and David Cowan;  and her life partner, Anita Comer.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper with Pastor Mark Cook officiating.
