Albert K. Comisky, 87 of Rochelle, Va. passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at his home. Al was a lifelong resident of New Jersey before moving to Virginia. He was a graduate of Trenton High School and a self-employed brick mason. He was a US Army veteran who served in the Korean War.
Al was known as the family historian because of his keen memory for dates and events. He also enjoyed spending time with family and loved to pop-in whenever he was in the area. Albert was also more than willing to use his masonry skills to help out family and friends whenever he was able.
Al was born April 10, 1934, to the late George Mitchell Comisky and Elizabeth Louella Kice Comisky. He was predeceased by his brothers, Charles Comisky and Robert Comisky, and his sister, Evelyn Helen Bren, as well as his grandson, Christopher J. Comisky. He is survived by his three sons, Kenneth Comisky, Albert J. Comisky and his wife Sharon, all of Rochelle, and Thomas Comisky of Greene County, Va. He is also survived by his brothers, George Comisky, Russell Comisky, Richard Comisky, James Comisky, and Edward Comisky, and his sisters, Dorothy Kaczor, Maryann Blasig, and Carol Voorhees.
He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Cindy Bartley and husband Sean, Tyler S. Comisky and his wife Kasia, Miranda Comisky, Timothy Comisky, Jonathan Comisky, and Stacy (Katy) Price and husband James; his great-grandchildren, Sean Bartley, Caelyn Bartley, Alexander Comisky, Christopher Comisky, Joshua Estes, Mason Fletcher, Cheyenne Price, Skyler Comisky, and Destiny McDaniel, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
