Robert Bernard Lillard, 78, of Sperryville, Va. passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at University of Virginia Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Nelson Lillard and Ruby Magdalene Jones Lillard; and a granddaughter, Mary Courtney Marks Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Ella Thomas Lillard; two daughters, Vicki Marks of Madison and Dawn Renee Graham of Fl.; two step-daughters, Mary Baugher and husband Timmie of Stanardsville, Va, and Edna Jo Broyles and husband Daniel of Uno, Va.; son, Richie Lillard and wife Martina of Madison; step-son, Cecile Clements and wife Audrey of Stanardsville, Va.; brothers, Grant Lillard, Steve Lillard and wife Patti, and Randall Lillard and wife Kathy, all of Madison; sister, Eilene Smith of Etlan; four grandchildren, Phillip Graves, Ra Micklewright, Jennifer Marks, William Lillard; and 10 step-grandchildren and number of great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Etlan Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the Etlan United Methodist Church social hall.
Deepest sympathy to Dawn, Richie, Vicki, Rosie and Bob's siblings, Eilene, Grant, Randall, Steve. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. May Bob rest in peace.
Rose I am so sorry to here about bobby. me and him worked together at MWP for years my prayers go out to you and to the family . me and bobby went fishing one night don't know that you remember you put me and him out and came back latter and picked us up. that's when you and him was camping right below where I lived at the time in Syria . bobby never meet a stranger nor did he ever change. he was the same bobby where ever I seen him . My heart goes out to you Dawn and Ritchie I know you loved your dad and he loved you two very much. When we all lived in Remington, Va we had a good time and Bob fried up some good trout he was a cook fish cooker lol. He is up in heaven with my Jim and talking up a storm. RIP Bob. Sending prayer's to his whole family love to everyone.
