Lucio Edward Weaver, Jr.         April 14, 2024

A blessing was welcomed into the world on January 15, 1976, Lucio Edward Weaver Jr. was born. Heaven gained a great man on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Affectionately known as Poohbear, he was a devoted husband, loving father, protective son, loyal brother, and an exceptional member of his community. Poohbear, was one of five children born to Lucio and Willie Mae Weaver. He was raised in Madison County, Virginia and attended Madison County Public Schools. He graduated from Madison High School in 1995 and worked for Madison Wood Preservers for over 24 years. He was also preceded in death by his father, Lucio E. Weaver.

Lucio met the love of his life, Dana, and they were married for 28 wonderful years. They were blessed with three children whom they loved. Lucio was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was a man of integrity, always putting his family’s needs above his own.  Lucio, with his calm and loving presence had a love for gadgets, a gift to make friends wherever he was present, enjoyed long conversations, an intrigue to try new things (built a treehouse and pool for Aireonna), and enjoyed spending time relaxing at home in his favorite spot, the Command Center. He was known for his charismatic smile, his kind heart and willingness to help others. Lucio touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity that extended beyond his immediate family. He never had a discouraging word. Those that knew him loved him. His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is felt by those who loved him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He will forever be remembered by his wife, Dana Weaver, Chrissy Ryder (Daughter), Jordan (Jasmyn) Ryder (Son) and Aireonna Weaver (Daughter).
